Welcome to Studio Noir

Studio Noir continues to offer the highest quality music education to our community in Long Beach New York and beyond.   Our first virtual music lessons began in March 2020 and have proven to enhance the lives of many across the United States as we learn to utilize and master new technology with our peers.

Benjamin “Benoir” Metzger is an award-winning Long Island-born performer both admired for his performances and community arts leadership skills.  His experience as a multi-instrumental performer, producer, and recording artist offers students great insight into the realm of the performing arts.   Ben loves what he does and it shows in the countless smiles of his students before, during, and after lessons.  Our staff has grown as well, with college-educated teachers specializing in Brass, Woodwinds, Strings, Percussion, and recording software.

Studio Noir offers specialized training for Guitar, Bass, Drums, Voice, Piano, Ukulele, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Cajon, Mandolin, Harmonica, Dumbek, Djembe, Bongos, Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Recorder, Banjo, and beyond.

Music Lessons for Children

Our “Wee Rockers” program for toddlers (3 years and up) has been utilized in Summer Camps, Beach Clubs, Private Home School Curriculum, and Birthday Parties.   Our learning knows no boundaries and although we utilize structure, we are constantly streamlining and adjusting our sails to the needs of our students for optimum enjoyment.

Recipient of the “Children’s Voice” Award by Project Challenge in 2015 along with several Proclamations from Nassau County Officials and Long Beach City Council, Ben was appointed to the Long Island Music Business Association Advisory Board (LIMBA) by Good Times Magazine publisher Richard Branciforte in 2020 and currently serves on the Long Beach Chamber Of Commerce Board Of Directors.

Studio Noir continues to offer in-person private and group music lessons including the Tuesday night Long Beach Ukulele Orchestra which hit a high note performing at the Landmark Theater in November 2019.
